| Description: |
Staphylococcus haemolyticus is a multidrug-resistant bacterium that colonizes the skin of humans. It has acquired resistance to methicillin and glycopeptide antibiotics such as Teicoplanin and Vancomycin. It can often be isolated from human blood culture and is suspected to cause septicemia, peritonitis, otitis as well as urinary tract infections. |
